Lots of races to catch up on this week, well done Striders! Firstly we had the Dave Denton Midweek 1 mile/5k on Wednesday night, with 4 Striders braving the torrential rain to take part – Liz Phillips, Matt Henning, Dave Keegan and Martin Kerr – who also won the 1 mile race! Well done all of you!

Then in Oxfordshire today we had 3 Striders complete the Abingdon Marathon – Paul Pearce, Richie Wheatcroft & Paul Roome (Brian ran too, but sadly had to pull out, Paul has informed me he’s ok though – hope you’re back on it soon Bri!). Also doing a Marathon today over in Venice was Andrew Miller, he’s been there for the week and said he really enjoyed the event today :). Great marathon results all, you’ve trained hard for this so well done on all of your efforts!

Lastly we had Chris Halliday & Liz Phillips taking on the Leicestershire 10 mile today, Liz enjoyed her race which is her favourite distance, unfortunately it looks like Chris picked up an injury towards the end. Well done both of you, hope it recovers quickly Chris :)
