A week of snow & ice up and down the country finished with a lovely fresh & sunny morning for 34 parkrunning Striders at 2 events. I think this is the first week for a long time without any tourism!
This week we had a fantastic 27 runners at Alvaston for our latest Parkrun Championship fixture, great turnout everyone and thanks yet again to our expert picture taker Eamonn Hughes!
Congratulations to Jamie Atkinson, who yet again got our Club Record for MV55, beating his existing record by 6 secs – this also earned him 2nd place and the highest age grade this week at Alvaston – brilliant run Jamie! Well done too to Hazel Baxter & Chris Halliday who both got their PBs at Alvaston!
At Markeaton, Martin Kerr yet again got a brilliant 1st place, with Paul Pearce coming in 7th place! Great running lads!
Well done everyone for getting out there on such a cold morning!
