These parkrun results come round quickly don’t they! This week we had 31 Striders running across 8 different events. We also had Tim Stokes volunteering at Markeaton and Ian Crompton Ray Evans and Eamonn Hughes all volunteering at Alvaston – thanks very much chaps!
We had quite a few Striders marathon training and some even taking in parkruns at the same time, lots of people doing 18-20 miles in total, so well done to everyone – fantastic running!
PB’s were a bit thin on the ground this week, but Lyndsay Butcher still managed to get hers at Alvaston! Jonny Branch came 2nd place and bagged his PB at Clumber Park (Jonnys wife Sarah also came 1st lady and got her PB – what a team!).
Other touristy goings on were Liz & Paul Phillips on a weekend break down in Gloucestershire at Forest of Dean. Chris Halliday came in 3rd place at Sandwell Valley in West Bromwich. Hazel Baxter had her first go at the beautiful Wollaton Hall. Amanda Wilson notched up her 71st parkrun location with a very cold but lovely run at The Cinder Track in Whitby!
Well done everyone! We have our latest Striders Parkrun Championship fixture at Alvaston next weekend, hope to see lots of you there (remember if you bring a non-Striders friend along you can get bonus points too!)
