This week we had a fantastic 34 parkrunning Striders, with the vast majority at Markeaton and Alvaston. We also had Dave Keegan & Ray Evans volunteering at Alvaston, thanks very much chaps!
Congratulations to Liz Phillips who had an amazing run at Markeaton, coming in 1st lady and with a PB to show for it! Well done Liz, brilliant running!
The cancellation of Long Eaton parkrun this week meant that at Alvaston we had some incredibly fast Derby AC runners for Jonny Branch to chase, this drove him on to getting 4th place and his PB! Andrew Miller also came in 7th place! And Steve Randle & Lyndsay Wiles also got PBs- well done all! We also had an appearances from some family members this week, with Steve & Sally Cartwright’s daughter Hannah also getting a PB, and Eamonn Hughes daughter Caitlin getting one too! Well done ladies!
We also had new member Simon Goodall doing his first run at Alvaston, guided by Pascale Holden, well done both of you and welcome to Striders Simon!
Next week we have our latest fixture in the Striders Parkrun Championship at Alvaston. Thanks also to Charli for sorting out our next Striders Tourist Parkrun on 26th November, this time the spinner has decided on Shipley! Look forward to that one – an excellent challenging course in a lovely setting :)
