Parkrun Results – 22nd October 2022

25 Striders ran at 9 different parkruns yesterday, that’s the most events for a while I’d say! We also had Ian Crompton & Ray Evans volunteering at Alvaston – thanks guys!

At Markeaton Martin Kerr notched up another brilliant 1st place, at Alvaston Paul Pearce cruised to a 2nd place, Steve Randle got a course PB and Fiona Corden had her first go! 

Lots of great tourism going on too, with Pascale unfortunately being misguided by her sat nav in Bristol and ending up 10 mins late to Ashton Court, however such is the power of parkrun that one of the lovely marshals encouraged her to still do it and it ended up being a lovely run for her! Well done Pas, it all came good in the end :D
Over on the Norfolk coast Matt Bailey got 4th place (and maybe a PB?) at the lovely Gorleston parkrun. Great running everyone!

Next week on Saturday we have our Tourist Trip to Rosliston parkrun, then the Sunday we have the first Cross Country of our Winter season at Anslow, I’m really looking forward to getting back to XC this year, they are fantastic team events – let’s get as many of us there as we can! Patrick has suggested a meet at 9am at the club house car park, if you want to participate in the car share (it is essential for most XC events due to limited car parking)
