This week all our local Parkruns were on after storm Eunice wreaked havoc on Friday.
We had 22 Striders across 3 events, those of us at Long Eaton had to divert around a cordoned off tree that had rudely blocked the path!
At Markeaton it was great to see Jamie Atkinson continuing to improve those times after injury and Ian Bell back on the results list after his short layoff – well done chaps!
Remember we have the next fixture in the Parkrun Championship at Beeston next Saturday, hope to see lots of Blue & White Striders again! If you’ve not done Beeston before, it’s a really good, flat course that is very fast on calm days and quite a monster on windy ones you never know what you’ll get – there’s a lovely long stretch down by the river too – give it a go!
On a more boring note please can I remind people to ensure they have their Parkrun profile set to Shelton Striders so we can capture the results correctly!
