Another really good event this year.
For me there were 2 take home moments:-
(1) a very young runner, came up to about my ankles, tearing round the fun run with more enthusiasm than every other competitor on the day – nothing was going to stop them. Everyone I spoke opened the converstation with “Did you see…?”. Having said that every one of the fun runners gave it their all and deserved a BIG hand.
(2) Dave and Christine Duffy, pacing 1:15 but not on the results, ran past and Dave observed – “Look, it’s Gerry and the pace makers”. You really had to be there.
Great Pace making as usual by the Pink Striders and they certainly helped some achieve PBs. Well done everyone who ran.
