I apologise for the lateness of this one but the results have only JUST gone up.
Two Striders excelled at this event. Jonathon Branch came home 3rd in a time of 5:32:26 and Matt Bailey came home 7th in a time of 5:59:54 – just squeezing inside the 6 hours.
“Last year the Dukeries 40 broke me, finishing in 7:30 after almost quitting at 30 miles.
What a difference a year makes! Not sure of my position, but it wasn’t about that, it was about the time, with an aim of sub-6. It needed a sprint finish, with the last 0.55 miles at 6.28 pace”
