The third and final round of the Starlight Relays rounded off what has been a very popular and, at times, muddy series.
The Starlight Express team of Kenny Malton, Pascale Holden, Rachel Farrow, and Shaun Cooper came home second but first mixed team in a time of 1:33:20 in 4th place sealing their place as Mixed Team winners in the series.
The Trailing Behind team of Ian Jones (running two legs), Charlotte Convey and Kate Johnson came home 17th in a time of 1:54:09. This result saw them 3rd in the final mixed team results.
The Night Striders team of Julie Corby, Tim Staniforth (substituting for Dave Thornton), Liz Phillips and Paul Phillips came home in 34th place in a time of 2:12:15.
The Cajoloch team saw substitutions of Jack Surgay for Louise and Alexander Lee for Jo Gregory otherwise had Chris Purslow and Carolyn Hopkinson still running. This saw them switch from female to mixed and from A Striders team to a non-club. They came home 16th in a time of 1:53:04.
Once again Vicki Alldread ran with a Severn Trent team that came home 29th in 2:02:13 but with two other substitutions.
Great running once again by everyone and I’m sure this will be on the calendar for few years to come.
