The Day The Striders Took Over Parkrun
A fantastic turnout of Striders at Markeaton park seemed to bring lots of smiles as the Pink Pacers, once again, showed their mettle in helping to bring over 50 of the 305 runners home to PBs. Conditions were very wet prior to the start and, despite Long Eaton being cancelled, a reduced entry of only hardened runners seemed to be there. The course was marshalled by Striders around it’s length and many also provided cake for the finishers.
A great show that, once again, made me proud to be a Strider!
