Well it was a very humid evening, and a record turnout of 437 that delayed the start by quarter of an hour. It also made the very narrow start and ascent incredible slow if you got caught up in it.
Looks like the Striders were doing ok, although there were 3 female international runners in the field who beat us all back and a very strong men’s field . This meant the men’s & women’s course records got broken. We all got to wash our shoes off in the river crossings, so they will be clean for the next race!
However the late start resulted in No pub and fish & chips for dinner. No beer….I hear you cry, criminal offence!!
