Big supporter of Shelton Striders in our early years.
one of derby s great runners gone forever but never forgotten R.I.P. DAVE.KEEGAN SHELTON STRIDERS DERBY.
I used to have a chat with him in the 90’s at 5:30 in the morning when he was power walking in his GB tracksuit, inspirational man
An inspiration to local runners of all abilities and his advice on training and nutrition Was way ahead of his time. The only shame was he did not win an Olympic medal at Rome 1960. RIP Arthur..never forgotten.
What a lovely man he was. Had spoken to him many times at Moorways track. He would speak to anybody about running and could tell you a few tales of his time. He showed me his shoes that he started running in and that is exactly what they were – shoes, patent leather, nothing like the shoes of today.
A sad farewell to an old friend.
Helen and Martin you were such fantastic, caring guys and hoping this will go on with you children. I send my love and prayers to all your family and friends
Unbelievable and truly shocking. How can this happen? Why? What a tradedgy.
Beautiful girl and full of life. That young man too.
Very, very sad and what an impact on their children lives!
