Even during the Xmas hols Dave (I run everywhere) Keegan is still clocking up the race miles. Dave was the only Strider to run this 5K race finishing in 25.29, 85th out of 121 runners. The winner was Richard Weir of Derby AC in a time of 15.25

Runners from Shelton Striders competed in their last championship race of the year on Sun 8 Dec. A 10 mile run organised by Sneyd Striders took place near Bloxwich in the West Midlands. The course was two laps, featuring the B4210, the A462, and underpasses / bridges of the M6. The weather was really rather nice for early December.

Derby Runner Cross Country (3) Bagworth Results
Men & Ladies from Shelton Striders delivered a truly phenomenal performance in the Derby Runner Cross-Country League on Sun 1 Dec at Bagworth Heath, Leics. The team won the fixture, leaving 20 other local clubs, including Derby Tri and Hatton Darts, floundering.
After 3 fixtures, with 3 to go, the team are now first in the League. Separately, the men are 1st in Division 2, and Ladies 2nd in Division 1.
34 runners competed for the Striders, ranging from under 20s to over 60s.
