The Starlight Express team of Kenny, Pascale, Shaun and Rachel were once again the first mixed team home in 1:10:13 with, once again, overall 3rd place.
Ian Jones’s Trailing Behind team once again made an appearance with David Green and Kate Johnson and one other coming home in 1:24:58 and once again in 10th place.
The Night Striders also reappeared, reformed as a female team, with Julie Corby, Liz Phillips and Jacqui Habgood but this time joined by Helen Andrews. They came home 14th in a time of 1:29:22 but second all female team.
Great running and great results one and all.
And this time that seems to be the extent of the Striders running. A little disappointing but I can’t criticise because I wasn’t running either. It would be nice to see more teams in this series and there’s still time to lift the titles from the other running clubs! Please support the Striders and get in there and show these others how it should be done!
The next event in the series is at Allestree Park on 1st May and the 3rd is one week later – 8th May – at Calke Abbey. It would be great to see some real numbers and lift the series guys!
