That’s my first 50 miler in the bag, cracking day and race – brilliant that Catherine Pearch and Bethany came to watch.
Didn’t expect to get 7hrs 21mins 57secs I had a plan and it worked, fatigue set in at 42 mile so I slowed the pace – walked the uphills, ran the flat and downhills but finished at a good pace. The icing on the cake is to have finished in 3rd place I get free entry for next year! Erm, don’t know about that yet, I’m absolutely ecstatic.
