Strider, Angela Guilfoyle, took on the 2500 metre option of this open water event at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham
She came home in 10th place out of 121, first in her category and 2nd female in a time of 37minutes 10 seonds. Great result – well done.
Angela had this to say… “First open water competition. Great weaving around as no black line in a pool to see, bumping into swimmers as no lane ropes to separate us, and stopping to clear goggles as got fogged up. But swimming with algae on my goggles was irritating I had to take it off!”
